Amy Konary

Research Vice President, Software Licensing and Mobile Enterprise Applications, IDC

Amy Mizoras Konary is a Research Vice President with IDC focusing on software pricing, licensing, and delivery research. In this role, Ms. Konary is responsible for providing coverage of software go-to-market trends including volume license programs, evolving license models, global price management, and licensing technologies through market analysis, research and consulting. Ms.Konary is also spearheading IDC’s coverage of Mobile Enterprise Applications. This research includes an analysis of adoption trends and drivers as well as the associated market opportunity. Ms. Konary was also the lead analyst for IDC’s coverage of software as a service (SaaS) for eight years.

 

Since joining IDC in 1998, Ms. Konary has received a number of honors and awards, including several IDC Research Quality Awards, as well as Analyst-of-the-Year. Ms. Konary was also honored with IDC’s James Peacock award for research excellence. Ms. Konary has authored groundbreaking and award-winning research on many elements of software pricing and licensing, and is often quoted in the industry and business press. She is also a frequent speaker at high-level industry events and seminars around the world.

 

Prior to joining IDC, Ms. Konary worked in marketing at a mid-tier software provider. Ms. Konary holds a B.A. from Lehigh University, where she majored in science and technical writing and minored in environmental science.

 


Prakash Panjwani

President & Chief Executive Officer, SafeNet, Inc.

Since joining the company in 2002, Prakash has been instrumental in driving major product strategy, infrastructure, and operational shifts throughout the organization. Prakash led the strategic acquisition of 12 companies resulting in SafeNet being the cybersecurity powerhouse that it is today — Rainbow Technologies marked SafeNet’s entry into the HSM, authentication, and software protection markets, Ingrian Networks, broadened SafeNet’s data encryption and encryption key management portfolio, Aladdin Knowledge Systems, doubled the size of SafeNet’s software monetization business, and most recently, Cryptocard which brought the company’s award-winning authentication business into the cloud.

 

Most recently, Prakash served as the SVP and General Manager of SafeNet’s Data Protection business unit where he has been able to refocus the team on three rapidly growing markes – crypto management, data encryption, and authentication and then successfully executing against a highly aggressive product development and go-to-market plan to support it.


Dave DiMillo

Principal Consultant for the Software Monetization division at Gemalto

As Gemalto’s Principal Consultant for the Software Monetization division, Dave is responsible for guiding enterprise-level software vendors through the daunting challenge of fully integrating license enforcement into their businesses. Dave specializes in top-down methodologies that include helping vendors define their corporate licensing goals and philosophies, designing system architectures, as well as developing business process and technology requirements that serve the myriad of needs across organizations.

 

Dave has an unparalleled amount of experience designing, launching, and managing some of the industry’s most complex licensing systems that manage millions of installed software seats including software development tools and CAD/CAM solutions. Prior to joining Gemalto (formerly SafeNet), Dave spent the previous 11 years leading the licensing strategy and implementation for the Rational software division of IBM.  Dave graduated with honors from the University of Maine with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.


Jake Fox

Vice President of Product Development, Software Monetization, Gemalto

Jake Fox is Vice President of Product Development for SafeNet’s Software Monetization Division. In this role, Jake is responsible for overall product strategy and management of the Sentinel product line. Prior to this role, Jake was responsible for the product development and market launch of the Sentinel Cloud Services.

 

Jake joined SafeNet in July of 2005, as part of SafeNet’s acquisition of MediaSentry, as the Director of Business Development, Digital Media Services. In this role, he brought two new anti-piracy services to market in the entertainment industry. He was responsible from inception to launch of all aspects of product management, business development, and management oversight of all engineering activities.

 

Prior to joining MediaSentry, Jake worked for EarthLink, Inc. (NASDAQ: ELNK), a leading Internet Service provider where he spent nearly 8 years in various leadership roles. Jake graduated with honors from UCLA where he received a degree in Economics.


Todd Steel

Director, Product Management in the Software Monetization division at Gemalto

A member of the Gemalto (formerly SafeNet) team for more than a decade, Todd Steel leads the product management efforts associated with Gemalto’s suite of software licensing and entitlement management cloud services.

 

Prior to his focus on cloud services for the software industry Todd has held multiple product management roles all focused on product lines designed to better service the licensing, entitlement management, and software protection needs of the software industry.


Darim Rahmatallah

Product Manager, Software License Enforcement Solutions, Gemalto

Darim Rahmatallah joined SafeNet in 2004 during the merger with Rainbow Technologies. Darim currently serves as a Product Manager within the SRM Business Unit at SafeNet, and focuses in software licensing. Darim has worked exclusively in the software licensing industry for the past 9 years and his expertise is applied in the definition of market requirements and product evolution to support SafeNet’s software licensing strategy going forwards.

 

Darim has a Bachelors degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Kingston University in London.


Julie Armstrong

Solutions Architect, Software Monetization division at Gemalto

Julie Armstrong is a Solutions Architect for Gemalto’s Software Monetization Division. Armstrong has over 20 years of experience working in licensing and entitlement management in both strategic and operational roles.

 

Prior to Gemalto (formerly SafeNet), she worked for Open Channel Solutions and was responsible for managing the implementation of entitlement management solutions for high-end clients such as Siemens, Ericsson, EMC, Avaya and Symantec.  In addition to her experience in entitlement management, Armstrong has held several operational roles related to software licensing, delivery and support.  Armstrong holds a BA in Math and Economics from Smith College and an MBA from Northeastern University.


Ray Wang

Principal Analyst, Founder, & Chairman, Constellation Research Inc.

R “Ray” Wang is the Principal Analyst and CEO at Constellation Research, Inc.  He’s also the author of the popular enterprise software blog “A Software Insider’s Point of View”. With viewership in the millions of page views a year, his blog provides insight into how disruptive technologies and new business models impact the enterprise.

Omkar Munipalle

Director of Strategy and Business Development, Cloud Monetization, Gemalto

Omkar is currently the Director of Strategy and Business Development for Safenet’s Cloud products.  He is responsible for global strategic partnerships and for driving new business initiatives and for increased adoption of monetization solutions in the cloud. He comes with over 10 years’ experience in the technology field with a focus around Cloud, big data, analytics and software monetization.  He has an undergraduate degree in engineering and an MBA from Duke university.

 

Outside of work Omkar is an avid outdoor enthusiast who loves to bike, hike, ski and surf. If he is able to get time from work this year, he intends to train and participate in a triathlon.


Shlomo Weiss

Shlomo Weiss is Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Software Monetization division at Gemalto. In this role, Shlomo manages product development, cloud service operations, strategic planning, and go to market activities for Gemalto’s Software Monetization solutions. Prior to his current role, Shlomo was VP of Business Development , responsible for global strategic partnerships and for driving new business initiatives.

 

Shlomo joined Gemalto (formerly SafeNet) via the acquisition of Aladdin Knowledge Systems in 2009, where he headed strategic business for Aladdin’s Software DRM unit. Prior to Aladdin, Shlomo held senior leadership positions in business development, marketing, and sales at Emblaze Mobile, Comverse’s Wydeband unit, and Multiple Zones.

Madhavan Ramanujam

Partner, Simon Kucher & Partners

Madhavan Ramanujam is a Partner at Simon-Kucher & Partners in San Francisco and specializes in pricing and marketing for technology companies. He has worked in consulting for over a decade and has advised companies of all sizes, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to technology start-ups.

 

Prior to Simon-Kucher, he worked for i2 Technologies for over six years. Mr. Ramanujam managed several consulting projects for Fortune 500 companies that covered areas of pricing, channel fulfillment, promotions, forecasting, inventory management and logistics.

 

Simon-Kucher & Partners was founded almost 30 years ago by Prof. Dr. h.c. mult. Hermann Simon, Dr. Eckhard Kucher and Dr. Karl-Heinz Sebastian in Bonn, Germany. Today, the company is run by a team of 66 partners. In 2009, Dr. Klaus Hilleke and Dr. Georg Tacke took over the helm as CEOs of the global strategy and marketing consultancy. They succeeded Hermann Simon, who now serves as Chairman of the firm.


Rhianna Collier

Vice President, Software Division, SIIA

Rhianna Collier is a senior marketing and business development executive with extensive expertise in marketing, sales, strategic partnerships, corporate sponsorships, and event development. As Vice President of the Software Division Rhianna sets the strategic direction for the division and assists software companies in developing key strategic partnerships, boosting their profiles, and gaining strategic insight on key market issues.

 

Prior to SIIA, Rhianna served as Assistant Vice President for Scottish Development International, Scotland’s Economic Development Agency. At SDI, Rhianna played a pivotal sales role with an ambassadorial slant, promoting and representing Scotland in key sectors such as software, creative industries and energy. She developed business growth strategies, coordinated cross-geography initiatives and established key partnerships for Scottish and US companies.
