Michael Welch is responsible for global business development for SafeNet's Software Rights Management division. In this role, he is responsible for forming and managing third party alliances and driving new strategic business initiatives. Most recently, Michael was responsible for the development and execution of the company’s cloud services go-to-market strategy.

Prior to his role in business development, Michael held various new business and account management positions within SafeNet.  Prior to his tenure at SafeNet, Michael served as the European Sales Manager for Macrovision’s Content DRM business unit.

Michael holds a degree in Marketing from the University of Plymouth in the UK.  With over 15 years experience in IT security and content management, sales and business development, Michael has sold solutions to many of the world’s largest software vendors, service providers, and content owners.
