Amy Konary

Research Vice President, Software Licensing, Provisioning, and Delivery

Amy Mizoras Konary is a Research Vice President with IDC focusing on software pricing, licensing, provisioning, and delivery research. In this role, Ms. Konary is responsible for providing coverage of software go-to-market trends including volume license programs, evolving license models, global price management, and licensing technologies through market analysis, research and consulting. Ms. Konary was also the lead analyst for IDC’s coverage of software as a service (SaaS) for eight years prior to focusing exclusively on pricing, licensing, and delivery.

 

Ms. Konary has authored groundbreaking and award-winning research on many elements of software pricing and licensing, and is often quoted in the industry and business press. Dave DiMillo

Principal Consultant SafeNet, Inc.

As SafeNet’s Principal Consultant, Dave is responsible for guiding enterprise-level software vendors through the daunting challenge of fully integrating license enforcement into their businesses. Dave specializes in top-down methodologies that include helping vendors define their corporate licensing goals and philosophies, designing system architectures, as well as developing business process and technology requirements that serve the myriad of needs across organizations.

 

Dave has an unparalleled amount of experience designing, launching, and managing some of the industry’s most complex licensing systems that manage millions of installed software seats including software development tools and CAD/CAM solutions. Prior to joining SafeNet, Dave spent the previous 11 years leading the licensing strategy and implementation for the Rational software division of IBM.  Dave graduated with honors from the University of Maine with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.


Julie Armstrong

Director of Product Management, Software Monetization, SafeNet, Inc.

Julie Armstrong is Director of Product Management for SafeNet’s Software Monetization Division. She is responsible for managing product strategy and market positioning of Sentinel EMS, SafeNet’s entitlement management platform. Armstrong has over 20 years of experience working in licensing and entitlement management in both strategic and operational roles.

 

Prior to SafeNet, she worked for Open Channel Solutions and was responsible for managing the implementation of entitlement management solutions for high-end clients such as Siemens, Ericsson, EMC, Avaya and Symantec.  In addition to her experience in entitlement management, Armstrong has held several operational roles related to software licensing, delivery and support.  Armstrong holds a BA in Math and Economics from Smith College and an MBA from Northeastern University.

Principal Analyst and CEO, Constellation Research

R “Ray” Wang is the Principal Analyst and CEO at Constellation Research, Inc.  He’s also the author of the popular enterprise software blog “A Software Insider’s Point of View”. With viewership in the millions of page views a year, his blog provides insight into how disruptive technologies and new business models impact the enterprise.

Alvin Wong

Product Manager, Embedded Analytics, LogiAnalytics

Alvin Wong is a Product Marketing Manager for Logi Analytics.  He is focused on Embedded Analytics and the OEM practice, where software and SaaS providers utilize Logi products to develop and integrate analytic capabilities within their software applications.  He has an extensive background in solution architecture and implementation of SaaS applications.

 

Alvin earned his MS in Engineering Management from Stanford University and BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.


Robert Moul

Vice President, Planning & Strategy, AVEVA

Bob Moul has spent many years in the engineering IT industry, during a career that spans the entire IT implementation lifecycle, from pre-sales consulting through to project delivery. During this time, Bob has worked for a number of engineering organisations, together with a variety of IT software and services providers.

 

As Vice President of Planning and Strategy with AVEVA, Bob’s role is very much focused on the development and implementation of the Company’s business planning framework, which provides a solid basis for decision making in support of corporate growth objectives.  Bob also has responsibility for AVEVA’s licensing compliance and anti-piracy programme; and in addition provides strategic direction in the development and deployment of licensing and pricing models.  Bob holds Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees, and is a Chartered Physicist and Mathematician.


Jam Khan

Senior Director of Professional Services at SafeNet

Jamshed “Jam” Khan currently serves as Senior Director of Professional Services at SafeNet. Jam leads a team that is responsible for providing consulting services, product deployments, program management, and customer support while ensuring customer success globally.

 

Jam joined SafeNet in 2004 as part of the merger with Rainbow Technologies, and has over 17 years of experience specializing in the field of license and entitlement management. He has had roles in Engineering, Technical Sales and Product Management, giving him a broad perspective on the entitlement management market and the criteria required for customer success. Jam works directly with customers worldwide and is a frequent speaker at events held globally.

 

Jam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from UCLA.

 


Joshua Bloom

Partner, Simon-Kucher & Partners

Joshua Bloom has a decade of experience helping software companies achieve pricing excellence. Since joining Simon-Kucher & Partners in 2003, he has led projects on packaging and licensing, sales transformation, and channel strategy.  He currently leads Simon-Kucher & Partners US software practice out of the Silicon Valley office. Joshua has spoken at several conferences and contributed to the book Manage for Profit, Not for Market Share, (Harvard Business School Press, 2006). He received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Yale University and a MBA in Strategic Management and Finance from the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business.


Omkar Munipalle

Director of Strategy and Business Development, Cloud Monetization, SafeNet, Inc.

Omkar is currently the Director of Strategy and Business Development for Safenet’s Cloud products.  He is responsible for global strategic partnerships and for driving new business initiatives and for increased adoption of monetization solutions in the cloud. He comes with over 10 years’ experience in the technology field with a focus around Cloud, big data, analytics and software monetization.  He has an undergraduate degree in engineering and an MBA from Duke university.

 

Outside of work Omkar is an avid outdoor enthusiast who loves to bike, hike, ski and surf. If he is able to get time from work this year, he intends to train and participate in a triathlon.


Shlomo Weiss

Vice President, Software Monetization, SafeNet, Inc.

Shlomo Weiss runs the Software Monetization division at SafeNet. In this role Shlomo manages product development, cloud service operations, strategic planning, and go to market activities for SafeNet’s Software Monetization solutions. Prior to his current role Shlomo was VP of Business Development , responsible for global strategic partnerships and for driving new business initiatives.

 

Shlomo joined SafeNet via the acquisition of Aladdin Knowledge Systems in 2009, where he headed strategic business for Aladdin’s Software DRM unit. Prior to Aladdin, Shlomo held senior leadership positions in business development, marketing, and sales at Emblaze Mobile, Comverse’s Wydeband unit, and Multiple Zones.
